Paddyway Academy is a secure, enterprise-grade Learning Management System (LMS) specifically optimized for the private educational sector. The platform was built to protect high-value educational content while providing an effortless learning experience for students in developing markets. Unlike general LMS platforms, Paddyway emphasizes intellectual property security, featuring advanced anti-piracy measures such as multi-device restriction and secure, encrypted video delivery. By combining a professional student portal with a powerful teacher analytics dashboard, the platform enables educators to scale their classes digitally without the fear of their content being illegally distributed.
Customer Use Case
The client, a leading tutorial provider in Sri Lanka, faced a massive challenge with content piracy; their lesson videos were being recorded and sold on the black market, threatening their entire business model. They needed a custom LMS that could restrict each student account to a single, verified device, prevent screen recording on common browsers, and provide a secure video player that doesn't expose source URLs. Simultaneously, the platform had to remain extremely fast and usable for students with low-bandwidth internet connections who were paying for high-quality education.
The Solution
We designed and built a custom LMS using the MERN stack for high scalability. To solve the security challenge, we developed a proprietary 'Device-ID Fingerprinting' system that locks an account to a physical device upon registration, requiring admin approval for any change. We implemented a secure video delivery architecture using AWS S3 with signed URLs that expire every 60 seconds, preventing link sharing. Our team also integrated a custom-built video player that actively detects and blocks browser-level screen recording tools. For usability, we utilized Ant Design for a clean, professional UI and implemented lazy-loading and asset optimization to ensure the site runs smoothly on slower 3G/4G connections.
